UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (formerly known as UGC-Human Resource Development Centre/UGC-Academic Staff College), Panjab University, Chandigarh established in October 1987, is one of the 66 such Centres set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to provide in-service training to College and University lecturers. According to the UGC proposal, this Centre offers different types of in-service training programmes for:-

Faculty Members:

Gurudakshata/Faculty Induction Programme (FIP)
For newly appointed teachers within one year of their joining service.
Refresher Course
for teachers having more than 2 years of teaching experience. Refresher Courses are organized in specific disciplines.
Short Term Course/Faculty Development Programme
STC/FDP for focussed competency development.
